- Starting in kindergarten, too many absences can cause children to fall behind in school.
- Missing 10 percent (or about 18 days) can make it harder to learn to read.
- Students can still fall behind if they miss just a day or two days every few weeks.
- Being late to school may lead to poor attendance.
- Absences can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up.
Early Dismissals are also the day we have Clubs. Students will be supervised by a teacher or the principal. Also, any student who is on time and present the entire day on an Early Dismissal day will be entered in a drawing for items from either McDonald’s or Tudors! 2 winners from each class will be drawn. We will be doing this attendance contest and incentive each month.
Parents if you want to keep up to date on your child's assignments, grades, and contact their teachers please join Schoology.
To do this you will need to get an access code from the teacher. You can download the app on your phone and recieve weekly updates automatically.
The whole school surprised Mr Holston, by wearing orange. Orange shows support for Kidney Cancer Awareness, and Mr Holston just recently celebrated 1 year of being cancer free.
